Adam Hall Cables introduces FLIPJACK for easier instrument swaps

Adam Hall Cables has launched the FLIPJACK, an adjustable TS jack plug that makes it easier for musicians to swap between instruments without having to change cables.

Designed and engineered in Germany, the FLIPJACK allows the player to rotate their jack between straight and 90° angle operation with their thumb and forefinger in seconds. This allows players to easily swap between instruments without having to change cables.

FLIPJACK is available as part of an Adam Hall Cables 5-STAR cable at different lengths. Developed with Adam Hall’s Palmer R&D team, FLIPJACK features tinned copper-braided shielding, an extra-large inner conductor, gold-plated contacts and a straight Neutrik TS jack at the opposite end.

The launch of FLIPJACK coincides with a dedicated restructure of Adam Hall Cables, as Adam Hall is investing in a dedicated Cables team, all of whom are dedicated musicians themselves, with the aim of becoming a major player in the cables sector. Adam Hall Cables is also overhauling its structure and its Star Cable rating system – where FLIPJACK sits at the top in the 5-STAR, pro-level category.

“As an active live musician and guitarist myself, FLIPJACK is something I’ve always needed – but has never existed, until now,” said Oliver Bick, a team lead in product management at Adam Hall Supporting Brands. “For me on stage, moving between a Strat and a Les Paul was always a huge pain, and I’ve even broken guitar inputs trying to put a straight peg in an angled hole, so to speak!

“FLIPJACK solves this problem in one simple, reliable, innovative flick of the wrist, and we at Adam Hall Cables are delighted to be helping make musicians’ lives easier with this innovative invention. I think the most exciting thing is this: every guitarist we’ve shown FLIPJACK to so far absolutely loves the idea, and they can’t wait to get one for themselves! Well, now they can.”
