Avid releases Pro Tools 2025.12 with immersive mixing support

Avid has announced the release of Pro Tools 2025.12. The latest Pro Tools release introduces new immersive mixing support with the UHD World Association’s (UWA) Audio Vivid, enhanced SoundFlow functionality with built-in Bounce Factory Lite, and new Inner Circle rewards from plugin and content partners. These additions build on several integrations and updates delivered in 2025 – from its Splice partnership to AI-driven Speech-to-Text.

New immersive audio support with Audio Vivid

Pro Tools now offers native support for Audio Vivid, the world’s first AI-powered immersive audio codec standard. Developed by the UWA, Audio Vivid gives creators the ability to precisely position and move sound objects in a three-dimensional space, delivering immersive experiences while preserving the intent of a mix across any playback environment, from headphones to multi-speaker configurations.

Pro Tools Studio and Ultimate users can access Audio Vivid via the Audio Vivid Production Suite, enabling direct mixing and rendering inside the Pro Tools session. With support for multiple immersive mixes in a single project, users can quickly mix and edit in several formats and deliver for diverse creative applications – from film, TV and music, to home theatres and in-vehicle entertainment systems.

Bounce Factory integration speeds up delivery

Bounce Factory by Andrew Scheps, the industry standard for bouncing mixes, stems, and deliverables, is now fully integrated with Pro Tools via SoundFlow. Available as Bounce Factory Lite, the tool appears directly in the Edit Window, giving every Pro Tools user instant access to the fastest mix delivery workflows.

This builds on Avid’s SoundFlow partnership, which earlier this year brought over 1,700 free prebuilt macros and AI assistance into Pro Tools, enabling automation of repetitive actions like stem bouncing, track creation, and session navigation.

New creative tools with Inner Circle rewards

The Inner Circle programme gives annual Pro Tools subscribers and perpetual license holders with active plans free access to plugins, sounds, and more. This release adds four new rewards from innovative partners, giving customers new ways to process audio, decode Ambisonic content, and create with MIDI. New rewards include: Audio Brewers – ab Decoder HOA Express, Axart Labs – AutoBeat Lite, Safari Pedals – Time Machine, Wave Alchemy – Triaz Player + Avid Select Expansion, and fast-growing partner ecosystem bring new ARA support.

Pro Tools continues to expand its unrivaled partner ecosystem with new ARA integrations, introducing more third-party tools that cut hours from music and post workflows, working directly in the timeline. New plugins include: VoiceWunder, VOIS and Vovious.
