Bumpboxx has announced the launch of the BB-777, a portable boombox designed to combine classic analogue formats with modern digital performance.
The BB-777 is inspired by the GF-777, a boombox from the ‘80s. Developed over nearly three years, the BB-777 project required considerable engineering investment and a commitment to reviving mechanical formats rarely seen in modern audio hardware.
The boombox is engineered to accommodate multiple audio sources, including Bluetooth streaming, USB playback, CDs, dual cassette decks, radio, auxiliary input and wired headphones. The system also enables direct USB recording from tapes, CDs, or radio broadcasts.
The system delivers 270 watts of power through a multi-driver configuration, consisting of two 6.25” super woofers with independent channel gain, two 6.25” coaxial speakers, two horn tweeters, internally chambered housing with bass ports and a fan-cooled amplifier to ensure thermal stability.
