Ahead of the 68th annual Grammy Awards, which will take place on the 1st of February 2026, over 50 records could be broken at the ceremony.
VegasInsider.com reports that Kendrick Lamar could break Jay-Z’s record (25 awards) and become the most awarded rapper of all time, and that he could also tie Michael Jackson and Santana’s record for the most Grammys won in one night (current record: eight awards).
Additionally, Lady Gaga could break Adele and Beyoncé’s record for the most Grammys won in one night by a female artist (current record: six wins); Bruno Mars (nominated for APT.) could become the first artist to ever win four times in the Record Of The Year category, while Billie Eilish (nominated for WILDFLOWER) could become the first woman to ever win three times in the Record Of The Year category.
Last but not least, Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos could become the first Spanish-language album to win in the Album Of The Year category, while DTMF could become the first Spanish song to win in the Record & Song Of The Year categories, and only the second foreign language song to win since 1959’s Nel blu, dipinto di blu (Volare), which was in Italian.
Other stars predicted to break records on the evening include Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, Wet Leg and Haim. The annual Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, 1st February at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
