Field Day will be celebrating its 15th anniversary in style next year, kicking off by announcing the first 15 artists that nod to its past and future.
Having championed electronic dance music since 2007, the festival will aptly mark the occasion by bringing together the genre's biggest duo, The Chemical Brothers, and the band that invented it, Kraftwerk, to grace its stages in 2022. The festival will once again take place at London’s Victoria Park as part of the All Points East event series.
Amongst the biggest names in electronic music, pioneering duo The Chemical Brothers have earned just about every plaudit under the sun since bursting onto the scene with their seminal 1995 album Exit Planet Dust, including six Grammy Awards. With a back catalogue that includes nine acclaimed studio albums and a host of chart-topping and platinum-selling singles, their live shows are amongst the best the genre has to offer, and their first ever appearance at Field Day promises to be an unforgettable experience.
Also performing live at Field Day 2022 are legendary group Kraftwerk, a band regularly cited as one of the most influential in pop history. Amongst the very first acts to create and popularise electronic music with albums like Autobahn, Trans-Europe Express and The Man-Machine, their career has spanned six decades, and has seen them inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
