Headliner announces partnership with Pub in the Park St Albans

Headliner has announced a joint partnership with Pub in the Park, the Tom Kerridge-fronted much-loved food and music festival which is returning once again to St Albans in September 2024.

This year's festival promises an unforgettable fusion of gastronomic delights, entertainment, and live music. The line-up is set to be bigger and better than ever, with new chefs, new restaurants, new drinks and new experiences – celebrating the best of British pub culture over the weekend of 6 – 8 September in Verulamium Park.

As part of the collaboration, Headliner is giving four acts the opportunity to win a chance to perform on the main stage. Each of the four winning acts will each support a headliner at the event: Paloma Faith, Olly Murs, Scouting for Girls or Tinie Tempah.

After submitting a video of you/your band performing, acts that make it through to the live heats will be invited to perform at The Pioneer Club in St Albans throughout August, where a panel of judges will select the winning acts to make it to the main stage at the festival. All acts must be from Hertfordshire and the surrounding local area and be available to perform on the 3rd, 10th, and 17th of August (Over 16s only).

It’s a wonderful place for a new act to show what they’ve got and smash it on a main stage, alongside world-famous artists. Paul Watson, Headliner founder and CEO

“We’re really excited to run this competition with Headliner to win a chance to perform on our main stage – something which is unique to the St Albans festival,” said Chris Hughes of Pub in the Park. “We really wanted to get more involved with the community in St Albans this year and we know that the local music scene is thriving and is something the people in the area are very proud of, so we thought this would be a perfect opportunity to give some fledgling acts their first big break. Who knows – we might discover the next Paloma Faith or Scouting for Girls!”

“We are delighted to be teaming up with Pub in the Park to offer independent artists this incredible opportunity and we hope that as many acts as possible head over to our site and enter the competition,” added Paul Watson, CEO and founder of Headliner. “St Albans is so lucky to have Pub in the Park rock up every year in the stunning setting of Verulamium Park. It’s a great festival celebrating music and food, which is for everyone, of every age, and it’s a wonderful place for a new act to show what they’ve got and smash it on a main stage, alongside world-famous artists.”
