KAMILLE and Mark ‘Spike’ Stent receive MPG Inspiration & Icon Awards

The Music Producers Guild has announced that former stockbroker turned Ivor Novello-winning singer, songwriter, and producer, label and publisher company owner, KAMILLE (Camille Purcell) will be honoured with the MPG Inspiration Award at this year’s awards, and mix engineer and producer, Mark ‘Spike’ Stent will receive this year’s Icon Award.

The Inspiration Award recognises extraordinary talent that inspires others. This year’s recipient, KAMILLE, is an accomplished hitmaker with songwriting credits spanning over 31 billion Spotify streams, 8 billion YouTube streams, and six UK No.1 singles.

Her work with artists including Fred Again.., Dua Lipa, Stormzy, Kylie, Little Mix and David Guetta has earned her a Grammy, a BRIT Award, multiple BMI Awards, and an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection in 2023, making her the youngest Black female recipient.

KAMILLE said, “I’m honestly so honoured to be receiving the Inspiration Award at the Music Producers Guild Awards 2026. It really means a lot to be recognised by the producer and engineering community, because that’s my world and I have so much respect for the craft.

Previous winners of this award include Emily Laazar, Stormzy, Skepta, Imogen Heap and Nile Rodgers.

The Icon Award is a prestigious honorary accolade from the MPG, recognising an individual whose work, influence, and impact on the music industry are widely acknowledged.

Mark ‘Spike’ Stent has worked with Harry Styles on his anticipated new album, Frank Ocean, Lorde, Bon Iver, Wolf Alice, Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Björk, Olivia Rodrigo, KLF, Ed Sheeran, Muse, Gwen Stefani, Dua Lipa, U2, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Coldplay, Oasis, and Lewis Capaldi.

Stent said: “I’m genuinely so honoured to receive the Icon Award from the MPG. I’ve spent my whole career surrounded by such brilliant artists - both new and established -, and I’ve always felt incredibly lucky to be part of their music. To be recognised here by my peers, people who really understand the graft and the obsession that goes into making records, means a great deal to me. I’m truly chuffed, and very grateful.”

Cameron Craig, executive director of the Music Producers Guild, added: “‘Spike is a true force in modern music. His creativity, precision and unwavering dedication have shaped some of the most iconic records of the past three decades. It’s a huge honour to recognise him with this award. Spike’s influence reaches far beyond the console, and we’re thrilled to celebrate his remarkable contribution to the industry.”

Previous winners of The Icon Award include Paul Epworth, Alan Moulder and Bob Clearmountain. 

This announcement comes ahead of the full 2026 MPG Awards ceremony, which will take place on Thursday, 16th April 2026 at The Troxy, London, E1 0HX. Tickets are on sale now.
