KRK Kreate Series fuels 555 studios’ new era of creativity

Miami creative hub 555 studios has integrated KRK’s Kreate series for use across podcasting, video and multimedia production.

The 10,000 square foot, multi- level 555 Studios creative complex is located in the heart of Miami’s Wynwood Art District. The space is used for various creative projects, including rehearsals, photo shoots, and podcast recordings, and continually adapts to meet its artists' needs.

“I always wanted a place where independent artists could record their music, shoot their videos, take photos, and perform all under one roof,” explained Cristian Castro, the studio manager behind 555’s creative vision. “The idea was to create a full-circle experience, and that dream has now become reality. 555 blends the energy of a live venue with the precision of professional production suites. It’s built for creativity in every form.”

555 studios’ podcasting suite allows content creators to access equipment, including the new KRK Kreate 5 Studio Monitors. “The Kreates were initially chosen to be playback monitors in our podcast room,” said Castro, “but now they move all around the building. The monitors are small enough to move easily, but they still give me the power and clarity I expect from much bigger speakers. I use them during photo shoots, video sessions, and even lobby activations; they always deliver.”

The flexibility of the monitors has proven valuable for 555’s workflow. The monitors provide background audio during film and photo shoots, and for client previews, the monitors deliver playback so producers can hear how their content sounds across various platforms – from car speakers to phone screens.

“When you run a space like this, you need gear that adapts as fast as the artists do,” continued

Castro. “KRK gives us that balance between quality and flexibility. They’re lightweight, they sound incredible, and, with the Bluetooth connectivity, I can turn any room into a creative zone in seconds. Additionally, the sound is so balanced and powerful for its size. There’s no harshness, even at higher volumes. It’s just clean, round sound. The Kreates are something we can rely on no matter what the session. That’s something I have always loved about KRK monitors.

“For me, quality isn’t optional; it’s what makes people take a studio seriously. Whether working with an A-list artist or someone just getting started, sound is critical. From the mics to the monitors, everything has to be on point.”

“For us, creativity is about being able to create sound anywhere and weave it into the story,” explained Castro. That standard extends through every department and piece of equipment, from the Shure SM7B microphones that define our podcast room to the KRK monitors that now act as the sonic heartbeat of the entire facility and make every space in this building come alive.”

555 studios have hosted various artists filming music videos in the venue, including Akon, Shaggy and Nicky Jam. “We open the doors to independent artists, too,” Castro added.

“We’re not a label, but we give creators the same tools and level of production that labels expect. It’s all about empowering people to bring their vision to life.”
