Located on a prime stretch of Tunisia’s Mediterranean coastline, just 15 kilometres north of Tunis, the upscale beach resort of Gammarth is renowned for its designer boutiques and luxury hotels.
By day, the sun-drenched streets buzz with life, but when night falls, the town transforms into a hotspot for clubbers and night owls, and since a collaboration with KV2 Audio, many are heading underground to BSMNT Club, a venue redefining Tunisia’s nightlife scene.
BSMNT is run by the organisers of Tunisia’s largest electronic music festival, Fabrika. This collective of artists, DJs, and visual arts enthusiasts, who have a decade of experience in cultural events, wanted an exceptional audio system for their club, to showcase both DJ sets and live performances. To achieve this, the Fabrika team turned to Sound Source, local experts in audio installation and the official distributor of KV2 Audio in North Africa.
“When the Fabrika community decided to take over BSMNT Club, they wanted fresh ideas and a new direction,” explained Zied Riahi, Sales Manager at Sound Source. “Their goal was to install a sound system that could meet the high standards of international DJs whilst also delivering an upscale customer experience.”
The Fabrika team were already familiar with KV2 products, having used them across all areas of their 2024 festival. This exclusive installation made it the only electronic music event in the world with full KV2 coverage, reportedly allowing 2,000 festival-goers to experience the purest, most powerful sound possible.
Held on the palm-fringed shores of Hammamet, Fabrika is said to be the first event of its kind in Africa and the MENA region, and has reportedly become a must-attend fixture on the global electronic music calendar. Over four days in November, audiences can enjoy performances by more than 70 artists and international DJs across three open-air stages, complemented by immersive visual art installations, exhibitions, workshops, and a vibrant marketplace showcasing handmade local products.
For the BSMNT Club in Gammarth, the brief given to Sound Source was to design a high-quality audio system capable of delivering an exceptional underground music experience.
“This project was an exciting challenge,” Riahi recalled. “We had to tailor our equipment to the club’s unique setting, which is basically a large basement converted into a dance floor. We collaborated closely with the Fabrika team, who trusted us to create an immersive soundscape.”
