Lila appoints Vivek Gudi as development and operations manager

Vivek Gudi, a former Royal Albert Hall programmer, is confirmed to be joining Lila as development and operations Manager.

Lila is an organisation dedicated to building industry-wide infrastructure for South Asian artists and professionals in UK music.

Gudi is joining the nonprofit after having spent four years at the Royal Albert Hall, where he programmed across classical, contemporary and South Asian music traditions. He brings extensive experience bridging institutional and grassroots cultural worlds, and has worked with organizations including DAYTIMERS, Singing with Nightingales and the Rum Shack stage at Glastonbury Festival. Independently, Gudi has also developed tools for creatives and artists to access fundraising opportunities.

His new role will consist of overseeing Lila’s day-to-day operational infrastructure, fundraising systems and industry partnerships, building the foundations that enable the organisation to scale its impact across artist development, platform creation and industry advocacy.

“Vivek joining Lila marks an important step in the future we’re building,” said Lila’s founder and director Vikram Gudi. “Our vision has always been bigger than programmes - it’s about creating lasting infrastructure, access and power for South Asian artists and professionals across the UK music industry. Vivek brings the rare ability to turn vision into systems, and systems into real opportunity. I’m incredibly excited for what we’re about to build together.”
