Lito's Place, an audio facility on the Mediterranean island, has announced the launch of Malta's first dedicated Dolby Atmos Music Studio. The new immersive mixing space is built around Audient's ORIA audio interface and monitor controller, and will officially offer Dolby Atmos mixing services starting in October.
The new studio is the realisation of a three-year vision by owner and audio veteran Manolito Galea, known as Lito. With over 35 years in the industry, Galea designed the state-of-the-art facility to be a hub for immersive audio.
"This truly feels like the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Lito's Place," said Galea. "I'm especially proud to say that this is the first Dolby Atmos Music Studio on the island of Malta - something that means a lot to me, both personally and professionally."
The studio features a 7.1.4 setup with plans to upgrade to a 9.1.6 configuration in the future. Galea praised the seamless integration of the Audient ORIA with his workflow, highlighting its critical role in bringing the immersive setup to life. The room is also acoustically treated with Artnovion panels and outfitted with EVE Audio monitors.
Beginning in October, Lito's Place will offer Dolby Atmos mixing services to clients and host in-person demonstrations. These sessions will allow clients to experience the full potential of immersive audio and understand how a new dimension of sound can transform audio projects.
