Native Instruments releases Traktor Z1 MK2 ultra-compact DJ mixer controller & soundcard

Native Instruments has released the Traktor Z1 MK2, the next generation of its DJ mixer controller and soundcard. Redesigned to deliver high performance in a portable form factor, the Z1 MK2 offers a streamlined and intuitive layout with new features, making it a versatile solution for home mixing, casual events, and more advanced modular setups.

Building on the success of its predecessor, the Z1 MK2 brings essential DJ mixing features into a sleek, modern design, with improved hardware, OLED displays, and enhanced audio capabilities. It’s designed to act as the perfect tool for new and established DJs who need high-quality, tactile control without the bulk of a larger setup.

Traktor Z1 MK2 was designed with all DJs in mind—from those learning to mix, to seasoned professionals in need of a portable yet powerful DJ controller. The straightforward layout includes two-channel volume sliders, a crossfader, three-band EQ, and dedicated mixer effects controls.

Traktor Pro 4 software is included; the latest version includes powerful stem separation and mastering tech from iZotope, a built-in drum machine, plus flexible beatgrids for changing tempos and genres seamlessly.

Three bright, high-resolution OLED displays show essential mixing information, reducing the need to constantly check your laptop, while a new dedicated stem control section offers precise volume control over individual stems so you can create more dynamic and creative mixes.

The mixer FX Section offers intuitive, one-knob control over a selection of nine effects including filter, reverb, delay, and a gater, making it easy to add effects to tracks in real-time, and the Z1 MK2 can control up to four decks in Traktor Pro 4, providing flexibility for DJs who want to expand their performance setups.

The Z1 MK2 also introduces a transparent undershell with functional lighting, allowing users to customise the LED colours.

The Z1 MK2 works seamlessly with the included Traktor Pro 4, allowing users to set up and perform in minutes, and thanks to plug-and-play connectivity, DJs can set up Traktor Z1 MK2 quickly, while the compact form factor makes it easy to transport for gigs, practice sessions, or mobile performances.

It’s also highly modular, allowing users to pair it with other Traktor gear—like the X1 MK3 or F1—to create an even more versatile setup.

The Traktor Z1 MK2 is priced at £214/ €249 /$259 (MSRP) and Traktor Pro 4 DJ software is included.
