Rhodes Music to showcase MIDI MK8 piano and new 61-key stage piano at NAMM 2025

Musical instrument manufacturer, Rhodes Music, will showcase its flagship MK8 pianos with newly integrated MIDI capabilities at The 2025 NAMM Show, along with its full collection of software instruments and effects, and the Rhodes Custom Shop which offers one-of-a-kind aesthetic customisation for the MK8. The brand is also set to unveil a new 61-key stage piano.

This year, the Rhodes’ flagship MK8 piano reportedly takes a significant leap forward with its newly integrated MIDI capabilities. Featuring proprietary sensing technology, the system ensures seamless expression with high-resolution monitoring of key positions and both Channel and Polyphonic Aftertouch. The MK8, which honours founder, Harold Rhodes’ original vision and is built on his iconic asymmetrical tuning fork design, is described as ‘combining timeless craftsmanship with modern innovations’ such as built-in analogue effects. These innovations are said to enable players to achieve unparalleled control and dynamic range, whether performing on stage or composing in the studio.

This on-booth experience allows creators to explore how Rhodes instruments and tools support modern music-making.

Rhodes will also give show visitors a first look at its upcoming 61‑key stage piano - bringing the brand’s iconic sound to a compact, portable design tailored for performers who require both quality and versatility. Additionally, attendees can explore the newly launched Rhodes Custom Shop, which provides in-depth aesthetic customisation options for the MK8 piano.
