ROSALÍA to receive IVOR award for International Songwriter of the Year

The Ivors Academy has announced that ROSALÍA will be this year’s recipient of the International Songwriter of the Year Award.

In 2022, she released MOTOMAMI, which she wrote, performed, recorded, and produced. MOTOMAMI debuted at number one globally and scored the highest Metacritic rating of the year.

More recently, ROSALÍA released her fourth studio album Lux in November 2025 to widespread acclaim. The album, written in 13 different languages, features hits including La Perla, Berghain, Reliquia and Sexo, Violencia y Llantas.

Lux achieved an unprecedented feat of five Billboard number one chart placements, debuting at #4 on the Billboard 200, and was named as one of 2025’s best albums by Rolling Stone, Billboard, The New York Times, Pitchfork and The New Yorker.

The Ivors are a prestigious celebration of the craft, cultural impact and enduring importance of songs and screen compositions. First presented in 1956, The Ivors have been recognised as one of the highest global recognitions for songwriting and composing.
