Shakira’s world tour is highest-grossing Hispanic tour of all time

Billboard has confirmed that Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour is the highest-grossing Hispanic tour of all time.

The tour included 82 stadium shows across the US and Latin America, with over 3.3 million people in attendance. The gross revenue of the tour currently stands at $421.6 million, overtaking the previous record set by the Luis Miguel tour in 2023-2024.

Shakira commented: “The music industry has grown so much compared to what it was when I started my career. Breaking this record is a new milestone for me, considering that there are so many great artists who historically have toured in Latin America and Spain. After a 30 year career, that took so much effort and met so many challenges, to be living this amazing moment is unbelievable. I can only be grateful for the loyalty and passion of my fans, who give meaning to everything I do, and without them none of this would be happening.”

On tour, Shakira became the first to perform 12 sold-out shows in a single tour run at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros. Shakira sold 65,000 tickets per night for a total of 780,000 tickets. Due to high demand, an upcoming 13th and final show is set to take place at Estadio GNP Seguros on Friday 27th February.

For this record-breaking tour, Shakira was presented with Billboard’s global touring award, alongside being nominated by Pollstar for their Latin Tour of the Year.

Shakira has sold over 95 million records worldwide and won numerous awards, including four Grammys, 15 Latin Grammys and multiple World Music Awards, American Music Awards and Billboard Music Awards. She is one of the top-10 artists of all time on YouTube with over 27 billion cumulative views, and the most-streamed female Latin artist of all time on Spotify.

Her 12th studio album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran was awarded a Grammy for Best Latin Album. In the first 24 hours after it was released, it became the most-streamed album in 2024 and was certified 7x Platinum. Less than a week after the album’s release, Shakira surprised a crowd of over 40,000 people, the largest audience for a performance in Times Square.
