The Live Room at Darkwood Studios
is spacious at 10m x 5m x 3m.
This fully air conditioned room has been custom built with flexibility in mind: it boasts reversible sound baffles, diffusers and absorption panels for changeable acoustics.
It is a multi-purpose creative space fit for professional recording, live performance, video production, songwriting camps, and workshops.
Darkwood is the ultimate professional hybrid studio with one of the UK’s best sounding and versatile control rooms. From analogue tracking to Dolby Atmos mixing and everything in between, it can accommodate any project with ease.
The only independent studio in Herts to be Dolby Atmos-certified, our Genelec 7.1.4 monitoring system is complemented by Prism Sound Dream ADA128 converters running over Dante, and an SSL Origin 32
analogue console.
And for ultimate plug & play, bring your laptop (or phone!) and connect straight into the main rig via USB or Thunderbolt for mixing and playback; and patch into our UAD Apollo or Neve 1073OPX to track.
